EU policies should lead the way in shaping sustainable societies which promote well-being, say experts.

Part of this should involve a change of focus from economic growth for its own sake, towards other indicators of prosperity.

Economics, environment, health and research experts met in Brussels to debate how to accelerate this shift.

The event was organised by the Equity Channel and hosted under the banner of “Equity, Sustainability and Well-being”.

Choosing the right political arguments for better well-being, in all EU sectors, was one of the challenges identified.

During this event, the Equity Channel launched its Policy Précis series, which demonstrates the link between health equity and the anticipated EU policy agenda over the coming months.
