The Equity Channel offers you the opportunity to be involved in the production of a new report on obesity and health equity.
In July this year, EuroHealthNet published a report called ‘Focusing on obesity through a health equity lens’, which describes over 70 projects implemented in 20 different countries in Europe.
The approaches and practices included are running at local, national and European level.
The document is publicly available on both EuroHealthNet’s website and the Equity Channel website, and has already been downloaded many times.
Elsewhere, multiple online libraries have added the document to their collection and the report is being used by people working on equity and obesity all around the world.
Following the success of the report, EuroHealthNet has decided to produce an updated second edition, and has now started a new round of collecting information and project descriptions.
The new report will also include a chapter on practices implemented ‘overseas’, as many people working in the United States and Latin America have showed their interest to contribute.
This second edition will be published in March 2010 and will serve to raise further awareness on this very important issue. New project descriptions, scientific data and suggestions for updates on implemented strategies and policies can be send in until the 18th of December.
If you are interested in contributing or if you wish to receive further information, please contact the author of the report:
