Mutual learning on social and housing exclusion: implementing the active inclusion strategy

The conference will discuss two priorities of the European strategy against poverty and social exclusion: Homelessness and housing and Active inclusion and present the results of various activities funded under Progress

This conference is organised by the European Commission to:

• Present the 2010 Joint Report on Social Protection and Social Inclusion
• Disseminate the results of a number of activities supported by the Progress programme.
• Discuss two priority topics of the Open Method of Coordination for Social Protection and Social inclusion: homelessness and housing exclusion and the active inclusion strategy

The conference aims at shaping a political commitment to combat poverty and social exclusion in the European Union and enhance the understanding of the underlying causes and of effective policies.
