ECOG 2010 and beyond: Tackling childhood obesity off the menu
17 - 20 November 2010
Brussels, Belgium
The congress will bring together hundreds of childhood obesity experts and Young scientists from across Europe. It will have a scientific and political agenda allowing us not only to discuss new developments and priorities for the health community, but also ways forward for the EU’s new institutional framework. The four-day congress will have three interesting sessions:* The congress will be launched on November 17 at the European Parliament, through a public event that will cover the more political aspects of childhood obesity
* The workshops on November 18 & 19, dedicated to the delegates, will cover some of the main topics on childhood obesity in Europe
* Finally, a special forum on childhood obesity in Belgium is foreseen for November 20. It will address local professionals working in the field of prevention and treatment of obese children. The forum will be run in collaboration with the Belgian Association for the Study of Obesity (BASO), the Club Européen des Diététiciens de l’Enfance (CEDE), the Societé Belge des Médecins Nutritionnistes (SBMN) and the Association EETEXPERT.
ECOG 2010 is an excellent opportunity to meet, discuss and share information and experiences with like-minded and interesting colleagues from across Europe and beyond.
