Training course: ‘Reducing the Burden of Non-Communicable Diseases: Addressing the Causes of the Causes’

The Course will explore the evidence and the frameworks used to address the burden of noncommunicable diseases through action on:1. the social determinants of health (e.g. urbanization, income, education, trade)
2. the conventional risk factors. (tobacco, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, harmful use of alcohol)
The Course will allow participants to strenghten their skills in analyzing the determinants of NCD, in working across sectors and in promoting interventions to reduce the burden of NCD and health inequities. The ultimate goal is to reduce health inequities, especially within countries, and to promote development.
