[Belgian Presidency] Pensions rights and adequate social protection

Over the course of their lives, European citizens should have a right to adequate and economically sustainable social protection. The twin Ministerial conferences will look at the future of social protection systems and pensions, their suitability and budgetary issues.Two successive themed conference days will therefore be held, with the joint objective of encouraging debate about the central, positive role of social protection in the European socio-economic model, especially during a period of socio-economic crisis.
What balance can be found between the priority objectives of social protection balanced with the economic situation?How can we promote the idea of a shared threshold of well-being?There a many crucial questions to be tackled.
