[Belgian Presidency] Meeting of the High Level Group on Gender Mainstreaming
7 - 8 September 2010

The high level group, chaired by the European Commission, is made up of high representatives from gender equality authorities from the 27 Member States of the European Union to prepare initial work on gender equality dealt with during each presidency.The high level group will meet in Brussels for one and a half days, to debate the following topics:
1. The priorities and initiatives in terms of gender equality of the trio of presidencies (Spanish, Belgian and Hungarian);
2. Review of wage gap indicators as part of monitoring the Beijing Platform for Action;
3. Contribution and preparation of the annual report on gender equality for the European Commission;
4. Preparation for the next session of the Commission on the Status of Women (UN, March 2011);
5. Dialogue about the European Institute for Gender Equality working programme.
